HAPPY TALK

early communication through sign + song

About

Happy Talk

“The Happy Talk program was born out of a desire to share the the knowledge and skills I had learned through my work as a pediatric speech language pathologist with families in my community.  As a mother of two little ones, I have found so much joy in using baby sign, music, rhymes, and sensory play with my own children. Not only do these things strongly support language development, but they also are helpful additions to daily routines and tricky transitions. Being a parent is not an easy job, and as a new mom I found adding structure to a solo day of parenting to be comforting and supportive to me and my babies. Above all, communicating with your baby via sign and song is so much fun! It is a truly joyful way to deepen the bond between you and your baby. “
